The ceramic composite material of claim 1, wherein the ceramic material is selected from the g rou p consisting of NbB 2, TiC, ZrC, NbC, HfC, TaC, and B 4 _C comprises a boride-based ceramic.

The ceramic composite material of claim 1 ₄-9, wherein the ceramic material is selected from the g rou p consisting of boride-based ceramic comprises ZrB 2, H fB 2, TiB 2, and TaB 2, or combinations thereof. 4

The ceramic composite material of claim 1, wherein the ceramic material further comprises SiC.

The ceramic composite material of claim 21 wherein the graphene comprises comprising graphene, one or more graphene sheets, and/or one or more graphene platelets present at one or more grain boundaries of the ceramic material.
