Independentcarbon nanotube/graphene yarn or sheet (aligned, sucrose-bound)dehydrated sucrose binderaligned carbon nanotube/graphene sheet or yarn with dehydrated sucrose binder
A carbon material, comprising: a plurality of microscopic carbon structures that are interconnected to form a sheet or yarn, wherein 40 to 100 percent of the microscopic carbon structures are at least partially aligned with one another; a dehydrated sucrose binder formed by subjecting sucrose to a dehydration reaction, the dehydrated sucrose binder dispersed on at least some of the microscopic carbon structures; wherein the dehydrated sucrose binder binds adjacent microscopic carbon structures together and maintains alignment of the microscopic carbon structures. Currently amended

Step 1
Process details
steps:1. Provide carbon nanotube or graphene yarn/sheet, 2. Align carbon material by stretching, 3. Apply sucrose solution (sucrose in water, ethanol, or water/ethanol mixture) by soaking, 4. Dry and/or chemically dehydrate sucrose using acid (e.g., concentrated H₂SO₄) to form amorphous carbon binder, 5. Wash to remove unreacted sucrose or dehydration agents, 6. Repeat steps 2-5 as needed to achieve desired binder thickness
